Terms of Service
Last updated: 10 October 2026
1. The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and MeetBites Private Limited (“MeetBites”, “we”, “us”), Hyderabad, Telangana, India. By creating an account or using MeetBites you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Our Privacy Notice explains how we use your data. It is separate from these terms, and agreeing to these terms does not give any of the consents it describes.
2. Who can use MeetBites
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. If we learn that someone is under 18, we will remove their account.
- You may have one account, for yourself.
- MeetBites is an invite-only beta. You need an invite code, or an invite from us after joining the waitlist, to sign up. Invites are passed on by hand.
- MeetBites is open only in countries where we have launched. Today that is India. It is not available in countries that are under sanctions or where we cannot offer it safely, and it is not available in a country that has not launched yet. You confirm the country you live in when you sign up. Do not use tools to hide your location to get around this.
3. Your account
Give us accurate information, including your real age and your own photos. Your first name, date of birth and gender are locked once your profile is complete. Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us if you think someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for what happens under it.
4. A beta
MeetBites is new and changing. Features may change, pause or end. Paid extras are described in section 10.
5. What you must not post or do
You agree to follow our Community Guidelines. Under rule 3(1)(b) of India’s IT Rules 2021 you must not host, display, upload, modify, publish, transmit, store, update or share anything that:
- belongs to another person and that you have no right to share
- is obscene, pornographic or paedophilic
- invades another person’s privacy, including bodily privacy
- insults or harasses someone because of gender, or is defamatory, or racially or ethnically objectionable
- relates to or encourages money laundering or gambling
- is harmful to children
- infringes a patent, trademark, copyright or other right
- deceives or misleads people about where it comes from, or knowingly spreads false or misleading information that could be taken as fact
- impersonates another person
- threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with other countries or public order, or incites an offence or hinders the investigation of one
- contains a virus or other code designed to disrupt or limit a computer
- is patently false and written to mislead or harass someone, or for financial gain
- violates any law in force
In addition, you will not:
- harass, threaten, stalk or discriminate against anyone
- misrepresent your age, identity or photos
- send spam, run scams, advertise, or ask other members for money
- collect or share other people’s personal information without their consent
- use bots, scrapers or other automated means to access the service, or interfere with its operation
- use MeetBites for anything other than meeting people in a personal capacity
6. Safety and moderation
We use automated checks and human review. Anyone can report a profile, plan or message. A report about an intimate image, impersonation or child safety hides the content right away while we review it. We may hide or remove content, and warn, restrict, suspend or remove an account, that we reasonably believe breaks these terms or puts others at risk.
We never restrict you in secret. If we hide your profile or plan, remove content, or suspend or end your account, we tell you in the app straight away: what happened, the ground, whether a computer decided, and how to appeal. Nothing is hidden from you while still appearing normal to you. We keep the identity of people who report you private.
At least once every three months we send you an in-app reminder of these rules, that we may suspend or end accounts and remove content that breaks them, and that offences may be reported to the authorities.
7. Appeals and complaints
- Appeal. Open Settings, then Account status, pick the decision and choose Appeal. You have 30 days. A person reviews it and decides, and we tell you the outcome in the app. No computer decides an appeal. If your account is suspended or ended you are signed out: appeal with the complaint form (choose “My account or a decision about it”) and we email you the statement and these steps.
- Grievance Officer. You can also write to our Grievance Officer at [email protected]. We acknowledge within 24 hours and resolve within 7 days, and faster for the urgent categories listed on that page.
- Grievance Appellate Committee. If you are not satisfied with how we resolved a complaint, you may appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee within 30 days (rule 3A of the IT Rules 2021). Every grievance outcome we send you tells you this. Start at gac.gov.in.
8. Meeting people: safety
MeetBites does not run criminal background checks on its members.
We cannot verify everything members tell us, and a profile is not proof of who someone is. You are responsible for your own decisions and conduct when you interact or meet with anyone. Please follow these basics. The Safety page has more.
- A profile is not proof of who someone is. Anyone can use a false name, photo or story.
- Never send money, gift cards or crypto to someone you met online, whatever the reason.
- Never share your bank or card details, passwords or one-time codes.
- Keep your home address, workplace and other personal details to yourself until you trust the person.
- Meet in a busy public place for the first few dates, and arrange your own way there and back.
- Tell a friend or family member who you are meeting, where and when. You can use Share my date.
- Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, leave. You owe nobody an explanation.
- Consent can be withdrawn at any time. Nobody may touch you or pressure you without your clear yes. Report anyone who ignores a no.
- Block and report anyone who makes you uncomfortable, asks for money or breaks the law.
What the verified badge means. A live selfie matched this person's profile photos. It does not check ID, age or background.
9. Your content
You own the content you post, such as your profile, photos, plans and messages. You give MeetBites a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, display and transmit that content only as needed to run and secure the service, including showing it to other members as you intend. This licence ends when your content is deleted, except for copies in other members’ chats until those chats are deleted, and records we must keep by law. You promise that you have the right to post your content and that it does not break the law or anyone else’s rights.
10. Plus and Boosts
- What is sold. This section applies from the day paid extras are on sale. MeetBites Plus is planned as a subscriptionPayments are not live yet: nothing is for sale today, and this section applies from the day paid extras open. When they do, MeetBites Plus is planned as a subscriptionPayments are live. MeetBites Plus is a subscription at Rs 299 per month or Rs 2,499 per year, and a Boost as a one-off purchase of about Rs 99 that lasts 24 hours. Prices include GST. We show the price, whether it renews and how to cancel before you pay.
- Auto-renewal and cancelling. Plus renews automatically until you cancel. You cancel in one tap in Settings, then Plus. You are then not charged again and keep Plus to the end of the paid period.
- Notice before each charge. We tell you at least 24 hours before each renewal (we use 48 hours), with the amount and the date.
- The maximum you authorise. You authorise a maximum amount for renewals. We do not charge more than that without a new authorisation from you.
- Refunds. See the Refund policy. A Plus payment is refunded in full if you ask within 7 days.
- Safety is free. Plus perks are not safety features. Verification, reporting, blocking, Share my date and the daylight rule are free for everyone.
- Boosts. A Boost changes only the order in the nearby feed, and your plan shows a “Boosted” label while it runs. It does not change who can see you, and it does not buy a match.
- Price changes. We may change prices for new purchases and for renewals only after we give you notice, and with your consent where the law requires it. A price rise never takes more than you authorised without a new authorisation from you.
- Disputes. Raise a payment dispute through the Grievance Officer. Indian law applies, as set out in section 14.
11. Ending your account
You can stop using MeetBites at any time and delete your account in the app under Settings, Delete account. Before you confirm, the app lists what we must keep after deletion and until when. The retention table in our Privacy Notice has the full schedule. Unused accounts: Deleted after 24 months without use, with notices 30 and 7 days before.
We may suspend or end your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop providing the service. After termination, sections that by their nature should continue (such as the content licence, disclaimers, liability and governing law) continue to apply.
12. Disclaimers
MeetBites is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that you will meet anyone, or that any member is who they say they are. We do not endorse any member or plan.
13. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MeetBites and its directors, employees and affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, or for harm arising from your dealings with other members. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and INR 1,000. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, subject to any mandatory consumer or other rights you have under the law where you live.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make a material change we will tell you in the app before it takes effect and show the new date at the top. If you keep using MeetBites after the change, you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.
